Ketika melakukan analisa fundamental perusahaan, seringkali kita menemui kata ROE dan PBV perusahaan Sering kali kita hanya mengetahui kepanjangannya namun belum mampu mengartikan, atau memahami makna kata tersebut. Yuk kita cari tahu apa itu istilah ROE dan PBV. Dari ROE terlebih dahulu ya!

Istilah ROE (Return On Equity)
ROE (Return On Equity) merupakan salah satu jenis rasio profitabilitas yang memiliki rumus yaitu laba bersih setelah pajak di bagi dengan modal. Semakin tinggi rasio ROE ini, maka semakin baik kinerja perusahaan karena mampu menghasilkan profit dari setiap Rp 1 modal yang investor tanamkan pada perusahaan.
Bagi investor, ROE adalah metrics yang paling mudah untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi potensi perusahaan dalam menghasilkan laba. Dengan adanya ROE, investor dapat mengambil kesimpulan tentang profitabilitas saham dengan cepat (Ocbcnisp.com).
ROE dapat kamu hitung dengan cara membagi laba bersih perusahaan dengan modal perusahaan. Laba bersih setelah pajak dapat kamu lihat pada laporan keuangan konsolidasi perusahaan, pada gambar terlampir berikut ini :
Sedangkan modal perusahaan dapat kamu lihat pada Ekuitas/Neto pada laporan keuangan konsolidasi perusahaan
Setelah mendapatkan hasilnya, maka kamu nilai dengan membandingkan dengan rasio return on equity industry. Menurut Sutrisno (2012), standar industri untuk ROE adalah 40%. Jika perusahaan berada jauh di bawah angka 40%, maka itu berarti perusahaan belum mampu memaksimalkan kemampuan manajemen untuk memperoleh return on equity atau rasio laba atas ekuitas, dan sebaliknya.
Istilah PBV (Price to Book Value)
Sedangkan PBV (Price to Book Value) merupakan salah satu jenis rasio saham yang memiliki rumus yaitu jumlah ekuitas di bagi lembar saham beredar. Price to Book Value menunjukkan apakah harga saham (harga pasarnya) di perdagangkan di atas atau di bawah nilai buku tersebut. Semakin besar perbandingan harga saham di pasar dengan harga saham di buku, maka semakin baik kinerja perusahaan. Hal ini karena pasar menghargai perusahaan lebih besar daripada yang tercatat di buku.
Bagi investor, PBV ini berguna untuk menilai apakah suatu perusahaan overvalued atau undervalued. Jika perusahaan overvalued, maka tidaklah terlalu bagus untuk membeli saham tersebut karena terlalu mahal. Sedangkan jika undervalued, dan setelah melalui proses analisa fundamental perusahaan ternyata memiliki potensi besar untuk maju atau berkembang. Maka saham perusahaan itu dapat kamu pertimbangkan untuk kamu beli.
Cara menilai price to book value adalah dengan melihat hasil bagi jumlah ekuitas dengan lembar saham beredar, lalu hasilnya kamu buat menjadi rasio. Rata-rata nilai buku perusahaan dapat kamu lihat dengan men-download aplikasi RTI Business dan scroll ke bagian valuation (dapat dilihat pada gambar terlampir).
Nah, sekarang sobat sudah tahu pentingnya mempertimbangkan istilah ROE dan PBV dalam menganalisa rasio keuangan perusahaan dalam analisa fundamental kan? Simple-nya, ROE dibawah 40% menandakan perusahaan tidak mampu menghasilkan laba per Rp 1 modal perusahaan dengan efektif, dan PBV dibawah 1:1 berarti perusahaan tersebut undervalued, sedangkan diatas 1:1 berarti perusahaan tersebut overvalued.
