Berbagai negara kini dihantui oleh inflasi yang melonjak. Apalagi, semenjak perang Rusia-Ukraina, harga komoditas pangan dan energi kian melambung. Nah berikut merupakan 7 negara dengan tingkat inflasi tertinggi di dunia. Saya rangkum dari yang paling tertinggi ya.
1. Lebanon (211,43 persen)
Lebanon menjadi negara dengan loncatan inflasi tertinggi, yakni mencapai 211,43 persen pada Mei ini. Kenaikan inflasi di negara tersebut didorong oleh kenaikan harga perumahan , transportasi, peralatan rumah tangga, dan kesehatan.
2. Sudan (192 persen)
Sudan mengalami inflasi sebesar 192 persen pada Mei 2022. Tahun lalu, inflasi Sudan meroket hingga 400 persen di tengah ketidakpuasan masyarakat atas reformasi ekonomi yang di lakukan pemerintah setempat. Reformasi itu di dukung oleh Dana Moneter Internasional atau IMF.
3. Zimbabwe (192 persen)
Angka terbaru menunjukkan tingkat inflasi Zimbabwe mencapai 192 persen pada Juni 2022. Ini adalah angka tertinggi sejak April tahun lalu. Inflasi memperburuk krisis ekonomi yang telah ada sebelumnya. Hal ini membuat penduduk Zimbabwe kian miskin.
4. Venezuela (167 persen)
Inflasi Venezuela mencapai 167 persen pada Mei 2022. Pada bulan sebelumnya negara ini mencapai tingkat inflasi di level 22,3 persen.
Ketergantungan Venezuela pada pendapatan minyak bumi menyebabkan negara itu rentan terhadap fluktuasi harga. Ketika harga minyak turun drastis, dampaknya sangat memberatkan bagi Venezuela seperti yang terjadi pada 2014.
5. Suriah (139 persen)
Inflasi Suriah mencapai 139 persen pada Agustus 2021. Inflasi di negara tersebut melonjak sejak pecahnya perang saudara.
Ekonomi Suriah di landa sanksi ekonomi besar-besar hingga membatasi perdagangan dengan Liga Arab.
6. Turki (78 persen)
Turki mengalami inflasi mencapai 78 persen pada Juni 2022 dan terancam resesi. Negara itu terjebak dalam krisis setelah inflasi mencapai lebih dari 60 persen. Mata uang lira Turki pun jatuh ke posisi terendah sepanjang masa terhadap euro dan dolar AS sejak tahun lalu.
7. Argentina (60 persen)
Lonjakan inflasi di Argentina mencapai 60 persen pada Mei 2022. Sekitar 4 dari 10 orang Argentina menjadi orang termiskin. Bahkan, jutaan orang bertahan hidup dari dapur umum lewat program kesejahteraan dan bantuan sosial.
